History of Menomonie:
Menomonie, Wisconsin, nestled along the Red Cedar River in Dunn County, boasts a rich and diverse history that spans centuries. The area was originally inhabited by indigenous peoples, primarily the Dakota Sioux, Ojibwe, and Menominee tribes, who thrived on the abundant natural resources of the region. European exploration of the area began in the 17th century, with French fur traders and explorers venturing into the region in search of pelts and trade routes. The name “Menomonie” itself is believed to be derived from the Ojibwe word “manoomin,” which means “good” or “tasty” rice, referring to the wild rice that grew plentifully in the area’s marshlands. The first permanent European settlement in Menomonie was established in the mid-19th century by a group of lumbermen led by Captain William Wilson, who recognized the area’s potential for logging due to its dense forests. The lumber industry became the cornerstone of Menomonie’s economy, leading to rapid growth and development throughout the latter half of the 19th century. In addition to its economic prosperity, Menomonie also became known for its educational institutions. I have a storage here and it’s wonderful. They send a reminder to let you know ahead of time to pay your next month and they are always so helpful. I’ve been there for 2 years almost 3. The only thing that sucks is that in the winter time you get plowed in, so bring a shovel. But other than that the location is great here in knapp and the accessibility to get in and out is so good.

They are a wonderful and large place. Storage units are clean, large with high roofs and they have concrete floors. Large gravel parking lot makes maneuvering large trucks easy. Customer service is outstanding for the account set up, inquiries, as well as closing the account. By far, they’re one of the best companies I’ve dealt with in any industry in recent years.
